Microformats: The Brief Version
Microformats add meaning to HTML. Sometimes that is all you need to know. Other times you want an example, you want to know who is using it, and how you can start getting the most out of it yourself. We have you covered.
Only a few weeks ago Shane Becker launched microformats.io to be your short guide to microformats. It includes all the things mentioned above, and nothing else. No history and debate behind formats, no parsing algorithms, none of the cruft from the wiki.
It is early days for the site and we would appreciate contributions in any form. Even just a friendly reminder of what you expected to find (and found missing)!
Even developers who think they have microformats down to a tee can take benefit of this launch. The website hosts the latest parsers for several programming languages and are quickly becoming an essential tool for testing implementations (and finding bugs!)
